Peter A. Lynch, Esq.

Co-Founder and Partner

Peter Lynch was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1980 and has practiced law as a private attorney and as an assistant Public Defender. In 2012, Peter was elected to serve as an Albany County Court Judge. In 2018, Peter was elected as a New York State Supreme Court Justice, and served in that capacity through January 2026. From Peter’s perspective, experience counts! Peter has always focused on listening, understanding and diligently representing his clients’ best interests, with a focus on facts and the applicable law.

In civil practice, Peter has extensive experience in representing clients seeking governmental approvals (e.g. site plans, zone changes, variances, and special use permits) for a wide range of residential and commercial projects, along with environmental compliance under SEQRA, and, in turn, complex real estate transactions and litigation.

In criminal practice, Peter has served as lead trial counsel in approximately 200 jury trials to verdict, and in his judicial experience, presided over 124 jury trials.

Peter is fully prepared to work to preserve and protect our clients’ interests throughout the judicial process.

Michael C. Lynch, Esq.

Co-Founder and Partner

Michael Lynch recently retired from the bench, having first been elected as a New York State Supreme Court Justice in 2005. In April 2014, Michael was appointed an Associate Justice on the Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, continuing in that position through December 2025. During his tenure on the Third Department, Michael authored approximately 1,000 decisions in a wide range of matters. In 2023, Michael was designated to sit on two cases before the NYS Court of Appeals, writing the majority opinion in one of the cases. Michael previously practiced law in our predecessor law firm, Lynch & Lynch, first established in 1989, and is proud to be a part of our new firm, along with his brother Peter and son Conor. Michael also served for ten years as the Albany County Attorney. Michael’s unique background and skill set provide a strong foundation for representing clients in complex civil litigation, municipal, real property, probate, matrimonial, mediation and other civil matters.

Michael received the Hon. Harold E. Koreman Award from the New York State Trial Lawyers Association Capital Region Affiliate on October 4, 2016, and the Hon. Edward S. Conway “Judicial Excellence Award” from the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association on June 15, 2017.

Michael is a graduate of Union College and Albany Law School and was admitted to the NYS Bar in January 1980.

Conor M. Lynch, Esq.

Co-Founder and Partner

Conor Lynch has experience working on complex civil litigation in both State and federal court, representing a diverse range of clients.

Conor is admitted to practice in New York State and the Federal Courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of New York.

Prior to joining the Firm, Conor was an associate at Whiteman Osterman & Hanna in Albany, New York.

Conor graduated summa cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University with a Juris Doctor. Conor was the recipient of the Gary M. Peck ’79 Memorial Prize, awarded to the graduate who has demonstrated a personal commitment to environmental law and issues. While in law school, Conor worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Mae A. D’Agostino in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, and as an intern for the New York State Attorney General’s Office Claims Bureau. He also served as a research and teaching assistant and as Symposium Editor of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology.

Prior to law school, Conor worked as a Staff Development Coordinator for the County of Albany. Before that, Conor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Vermont.
